The A-Star is a very capable helicopter for most aerial production missions and is an outstanding cameraship (very maneuverable with good power margins). Additionally, the majority of airborne law enforcement agencies in the US, like the LAPD, operate this type of helicopter. Foreign military organizations also operate the A-Star in many multi-mission roles such as “Little-Bird” gunships. So the A-Star makes a good “story” helicopter emulating these types of agencies. The A-Star is very popular in the wildland firefighting industry as well.
